Group Tickets

Because Umroh.com only provides round-trip group tickets with the same airline, with a minimum booking of 10 seats. Bookings are usually made several months before departure to secure wholesale fares. We also use big data to choose airlines with optimal routes — shortest distance from domestic/international airports to JED/MED in the Holy Land.

The booking period determines seat availability & ticket price.

• Booking >3 months before departure usually gets the lowest wholesale price & ~90% seat availability. For high season (year-end or Ramadan), book >4 months in advance.
• Booking 2-3 months before departure still gets wholesale fares but not the cheapest — ~70% seats available.
• Booking <2 months before departure gets the highest wholesale fares. ~50% seats available.
• Booking <1 month before departure is not available on Umroh.com. For last-minute single tickets, use airline websites or retail platforms.

Umrah/travel groups need long preparation time. Pilgrims must prepare funds, documents (passport, visa), request leave, account for school/holiday schedules, arrange transport/accommodation, confirm participants, attend manasik, etc.

Individual (retail) tickets are for single travelers (FIT) and are usually one-way or retail round-trip. They are more expensive, require full immediate payment and immediate ticketing at booking. Routes may be long with multiple transits and limited availability (1-5 seats per date).

Group tickets are suited for Umrah groups: minimum 10 seats, round-trip, cheaper wholesale fares, payment and ticketing can be staggered. Typical group durations 9-12 hours, often direct or 1-stop connecting flights with short transit times. Seats per date are abundant and partial cancellations (10-20%) are allowed (materialization 80-90%).

Materialization is the portion of booked seats that must be used/confirmed. Usually, up to 10% of seats can be cancelled for direct-flight airlines (90% materialization).

For connecting-flight airlines (e.g., Batik, Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Indigo), typically up to 20% can be cancelled (80% materialization).

Generally airlines require a 25% down payment (DP) of the total ticket invoice at booking, with final payment and materialization confirmation 1 month before departure.

Tickets are usually issued around H-2 weeks before departure. If some pilgrims lack passports near issue time, we can use 'dummy data' so processing can proceed; real passenger data and documents can be updated later.

There are two common airline types: FSC (full-service) and LCC (low-cost). FSCs provide more comfort (meals, larger seats, entertainment) — examples: Saudia, Qatar, Emirates, Garuda. LCCs are budget options with simpler service — examples: Lion, Batik, Indigo, Scoot.

Only a few airlines operate direct flights to JED/MED (e.g., Saudia, Garuda, Lion). Others are connecting via regional hubs. Large cities (Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Makassar) offer the widest choices.

Yes. You can fly from the nearest airport for convenience and savings. Umroh.com offers feeder flights that connect to larger international flights.

We aim to keep feeder flights within the same airline group where possible to secure wholesale fares (e.g., Citilink + Garuda, SuperAirJet + Batik).

We recommend same-airline round-trip for group consistency (reservations, payments, ticketing, baggage).

In some cases two different airlines are unavoidable (e.g., Umrah+tour programs or regional routing). This requires check-in & baggage re-drop during transit.
